The Objectives

1) To bring European vets to the island in order to carry out regular castration programmes, thus putting a stop to the previous policy of poisoning stray animals as a method of population reduction.

2) To treat and prevent the diseases and skin conditions of dogs and cats caused by deadly parasites.

3) To treat any animal who has been injured on the roads, mistreated or harmed in any way.

4) To provide education and information concerning animal welfare to the local communities.

By continuing to support this work, we hope to improve the living conditions and the general standard of hygiene and health of the dogs and people of Santiago, Cape Verde.
